my new favorite. 

dots make the world go 'round, in french:

les points font tourner le monde. 

the big pattern of dots makes me smile 

for some reason. 

must be that "beauty and function" thing I like so much, 

or that I love to pretend I'm french sometimes.

sometimes when I'm in my kitchen

I just feel so lucky to be designing linen tea towels. 

I keep them handy in a big ceramic bowl next to the stovetop, 

new ones and old ones, and just grab them 

to use as potholders or hotpads or 

for drying the counters or my hands. 

I love the texture that comes through the inks 

as they're washed time and time again.

off to Italy

I wish it was me who was off to italy... 

but these lucky aprons and tea towels 

are going to milan today 

for a photo shoot at

la cucina italiana magazine.

I can just picture them... hmmmm.
